Carrot Chutney


Carrots – 2

Coconut – 2 tbsp

Red chillies – 3

Tamarind – very little

Urad dal – 1 tbsp

Chana dal – 1 tbsp

To Temper

Chana dal – 1 tbsp

Urad dal – 1 tbsp

Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp


Curry leaves – Few

Salt to taste

How to make

Heat oil, add urad dal, chana dal, Red chillies. Fry till get gold colour. then add carrot pieces and cook till raw smell goes. Then add coconut, mix and switch off the stove. Set aside cool. Grind all these ingredients with tamarind, and salt to smooth paste. Heat oil, add curry leaves, urad dal, chana dal, mustard seeds and fry. Add this tadka to chutney.
