Coconut Burfi

Ingredients

Grated coconut – 2 cups

Sugar – 3 cups

Milk – 2 cups

Ghee – 4 tbsp

Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp

How to make

In a heavy bottomed kadai, put grated coconut, sugar and milk. Mix well and put it on simmer and leave it to cook. Keep mixing it once in a while. Within 20 to 25 minutes mixture starts to become golden in colour and thickens quite a bit. Add ghee, cardamom powder and keep stirring continuously. Mixture takes a while to come together. Then turn off the heat and pour into greased plate. Flatten out and allow it to cool. Now cut into pieces.
